First: Objective

Out of the commitment of OSHA Training Platform to upholding intellectual property principles—which safeguard human innovation including trademarks, inventions, author's rights, copyrights, models, concepts, databases, designs, and illustrations—OSHA Platform, an affiliate of OSHA Training and Consulting Company, along with all platform content, programs, and data, is deemed fully protected under Saudi copyright, trademark, and intellectual property regulations.

OSHA Training Platform serves as an e-learning gateway for all registered trainees across all its training, development, and professional qualification tracks in a manner that under no circumstances tarnishes the reputation of the platform and its personnel or exposes them to legal liability. Therefore, strict adherence to the publishing policies outlined in this document is mandatory.

Second: Scope of Implementation

Entities and individuals must utilize the platform exclusively for its authorized purposes, for which users have been granted access credentials via login IDs and passwords. As this platform belongs to the parent company website and bears its official name, these principles apply to all users of OSHA Training Platform, specifically:

  • A. Instructors registered on the platform to deliver educational and training courses.
  • B. Trainees enrolled in educational and training programs on OSHA Platform.
  • C. Supervisors from relevant government authorities such as: Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and the National E-Learning Center (NELC).
  • D. Corporate and enterprise supervisors monitoring their trainees on the platform.

Third: Intellectual Property and Copyrights

All content published across the platform's web pages must strictly comply with copyright laws and electronic publishing policies. Intellectual property rights comprise the legal rights protecting the works of authors and creators against reproduction and exploitation by others without authorization. Principles of intellectual property rights at OSHA Training Platform include:

  • A. OSHA Platform holds all usage rights to the electronic content.
  • B. Users of OSHA Platform are obligated to uphold intellectual property and copyrights regarding any material posted on the training platform.
  • C. Trainers and content authors are strictly committed to intellectual property rights when developing course materials.
  • D. In the event a trainer uses content not owned by the entity, the trainer bears full legal liability.
  • E. When open-source educational content is used, proper citation and attribution of the source is mandatory.
  • F. The platform is committed to auditing content to ensure it is free from intellectual property infringements.
  • G. Any entity seeking to use platform data before publishing content or excerpts from other websites must verify that it does not infringe upon third-party copyrights, and said entity assumes all liabilities arising therefrom.
  • H. We affirm the necessity of complying with IP and copyrights for all images, logos, and texts uploaded to the platform, and warn against copying or citing any images, logos, or texts without prior written consent from management; the violating entity bears full responsibility upon breach.

Fourth: Copyright Principles in the E-Training Environment

  • A. Content appropriateness and freedom from inappropriate, profane, hostile, racist, or threatening tone, whether in text, image, or idea.
  • B. Publishing any content targeting individuals or institutions or depicting them in a negative light is prohibited.
  • C. Infringing by publishing or citing copyrighted materials without formal authorization or consent is prohibited.
  • D. Publishing any content contrary to religious principles or public morals is prohibited.
  • E. Publishing any content that disrupts national unity (racism, sectarianism, tribalism...) is prohibited.
  • F. Publishing or promoting any commercial products or advertisements outside the scope of OSHA Training Company and its digital platform is prohibited.
  • G. Refraining from using the platform to speak about other institutions or persons or submitting unauthorized grievances.
  • H. Utilizing the publishing features exclusively for the service of training objectives.
  • I. Observing the correct grammar and spelling of the language used to build the page or digital material, ensuring it is free from linguistic errors.
  • J. The platform is under no obligation to review external hyperlinks redirecting outside platform pages and bears no responsibility for external content or services.
  • K. Refraining from posting images that offend public modesty, violate Islamic Sharia, academic norms, or Saudi laws.
  • L. The platform bears no responsibility for any alteration or loss of content resulting from technical failures or system maintenance.

Fifth: Site Modifications and Disclaimer

The platform reserves the right to modify any site/platform components at any time without prior notice. While every effort is made to verify information accuracy, we cannot guarantee its completeness or offer warranties of any kind regarding the platform and its contents, including texts, graphs, advertisements, or monitoring metrics. Furthermore, no express or implied warranty is provided regarding the absence of technical or scientific defects in the materials, nor their uninterrupted and error-free accessibility.

Sixth: Actions Taken Upon Intellectual Property Infringement

In the event of an intellectual property violation ("IP theft"), the following procedures are enforced:

  • A. Drafting a comprehensive report detailing the incident, attaching evidence if available, and referring it to the competent committee at OSHA Platform.
  • B. Grading the sanction progressively based on the trainee's conduct (deduction of coursework grades, deduction of academic project marks, certificate cancellation, reporting to competent authorities), or as deemed appropriate by OSHA Platform's committee.
  • C. Preserving strict confidentiality of the case.
  • D. Notifying the trainee of the disciplinary action prior to enforcement.

These principles apply to all users of OSHA Training Platform services, with commitment to ensuring their enforcement. All platform employees are equally bound by them. Any violation subjects the offender to disciplinary action under the procedures adopted by OSHA Training Platform in conformity with the regulations of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP).
